St. Mary's | Sarnia/ Lambton County Photographers

On our way home from a camping weekend, we took some time to stop in beautiful St. Mary's, Ontario. What a lovely and friendly town!

My (Deborah's) parents.

Love the architecture!

And the secret garden!

The waterfall was lovely too!
I want a birdhouse like this in our backyard!

One of the quarries.

This 1yo pup could swim and swim. He's a border collie mix. One of my favorite breeds!
The other quarry. It's for public swimming. It looked so inviting on our 90 degree Celsius day with a humidity to match.

Despite the beauty of this town, we were quite happy to hop in the van after our long walk, stop at Tim Hortons, and cool down with ice cappuccinos.

Sweet Little M | Sarnia/ Lambton County Children's Portrait Photographers

This little guy is such a charmer! He was all smiles and irresistibly fun to get photos of. A huge downpour in the morning provided lots of wet fun for him even before we headed down to the beach.

Oh my goodness, J and A! He is such a sweet little guy! I can't believe he'll be so much bigger again the next time we see him!

The Drain | Sarnia/ Lambton County Photographers

I discovered the girls doing this today:

This is a drain in the field by our house. It has been there since the day we moved into our home and likely many years before that. I'm still not sure why it suddenly piqued their interest, but pique it it did.

"It never ends!!"

 "I wonder where it goes?"

Funny funny girls!

In Search of Mulberries | Sarnia/ Lambton County Photographers

We went in search of mulberries this morning. It was hot, hazy, and humid. It was also a very pretty walk.

We have to go through our neighbour's soybean field. We saw:

Chartreuse clusters of grapes waiting to be ripened by the hot summer sun.

A cherry tree picked clean by greedy robins.

Delicate blossoms hanging from an unnamed tree.

Cabbage white butterflies enjoying their breakfast.

A frightened orange toad.

Trees destroyed by time and weather juxtaposed against the blue and white sky.

A young sumac, still devoid of her red velvet coat.

And of course mulberries, not quite ripe enough for picking yet, so...

We walked down to the creek to see if there was any water still in it. There was. We saw, so we picked our way home across the bean field in time for a snack.

It's fun having our very own "trail" of sorts. We never know what we might see.
